From Sheldon:
This Saturday we'll be hosting a multigun match at the Best of the West shooting range in Liberty Hill, TX. Setup starts at 730am and the fun starts at 10 am. Preliminary round counts are 100 rifle, 70 pistol, 40 birdshot, these are estimates only. It's going to be hot, please bring fluids and drink plenty of fluids between now and saturday. Thanks and we'll see you saturday.

Hydration starts early, do not wait until Saturday am.

I'd love to be able to attend but my oldest daughter is turning 4 and her birthday party is during the match.  Trust me, I'd rather be shooting than at a princess party!

I am bringing a breaching door.  A little more fun with the shotgun...

Wish I could make it but I'm stuck on the 2 way range for a while.  Shot straight and stay safe!

I'll be there.  I'm really looking forward to finally being able to come out and shoot this.

Anything a n00b should know about doing this?

I've checked my zero's and holdovers...then I checked them a couple of more times, getting hydrated and bringing more water and probably some chairs.  I've got my gear all sorted out too, so hopefully I'm as ready as I can be.

I plan on being there about 8 or 8:30

Kevin - any special ammo for the door?

Glad to have you. We will be able to drive to each bay. They are not far apart, but just far enough that carrying gear and water is more difficult. Also bring a hat and sunscreen.

I assumed we would be kicking the door.

Are we shooting it
?

Made my first trip to BOTW today, only shot for about an hour but it was so much better than the indoor ranges I have locally. Wish I could make the match tomorrow, maybe next month if I get more time on the range between now and then. Are there are groups that practice multigun shooting around here?

Holy shit that was a lot of fun!

I think I did ok for my first time out.  I did miss par time on a couple of the stages, but I was rocking the red dot pretty well...especially @ 200 yrds (except for that small ass target I couldn't see)

I can't wait to do that again soon!

I got saddled up with Squad 1, so many thanks to Sheldon and Kyle of the help with understanding how all of it works.  I had a buddy with me that really wished he could have shot it after he watched the first person run stage 1...next time!

Well, normally, shoot with shotgun, but as we found out, the door was not used. Maybe next time.

Wish we ran a few more stages!  I think it would help squads flow through a little better.

I think four stages was a smart move due to the summer heat.

This was my first time shooting Heavy Division. The heavy .308 rifle is much less forgiving of body/hand positioning while using a barricade––I'll have to work on that. Worked well at 500 yards though.

It's the aluminum one from Brownells. Can't remember the name.

The coupler is made by Firebird, but branded and sold by Brownells.
