Three Waldorf men have been charged with breaking in to the home of a Waldorf couple in their mid-60s and robbing them at gunpoint during broad daylight Jan 26.

Police arrested Carterrys Abednega Morgan, 21, Julien Antonio Fort, 20, and Quayshawn DeAngelo Jenifer, 20, hours after officers responded to the Mockingbird Circle home around 11:30 a.m., where the husband, 65, reported he had opened the door for a man wearing black clothing who asked whether a specific person lived there.

The husband said that no one by the name mentioned lived at the home and tried to shut the door, but another man wearing dark clothing and a black mask covering his face walked up and pointed a gun at the husband and forced his way inside, the documents state.

Charged with nine Waldorf burglaries spanning between November 2008 and April 2009, Morgan pleaded guilty Aug. 28, 2009, to three counts of first-degree burglary and one count of theft, and was sentenced to four years in prison. He later testified to being in one of the vehicles involved in the February 2008 Accokeek street race, which killed eight people.

Jenifer told detectives he owned the Crown Victoria but that it was registered to a friend in Waldorf. He said he spent the morning driving around the area with Morgan and another friend but denied any knowledge or involvement in the robbery, according to charging papers.

Fort admitted to going into the Mockingbird Circle home with Morgan and Jenifer but denied having a gun and said he was not the aggressor during the robbery, the documents state. In a separate case, Fort was charged Jan. 15 with having a handgun in a vehicle, according to online court records.

All three men have been charged with armed robbery, robbery, first- and second-degree assault, first- and fourth-degree burglary and theft of less than $1,000. Jenifer has been charged with a second count of first-degree assault.
