Well apparently there are two guns shows this weekend, the R.K. show in Louisville and the Kenny Woods show in Pikeville.  Anybody going to either show?

How about a link or some info for the one in L-ville.  I don't see it on the Fair & Expo website.

Sure here are the links:

R.K. Gun Show
Kenny Woods Gun Show

Has anybody been to the Louisville show before?  I had my MIL who lives in Pikeville call the Expo center to confirm the show but they had no idea what she was talking about.  Does anybody in east KY know for sure the Kenny Woods show is going to happen??

The Clarion Hotel & Conference Center is on Hurstbourne right @ I-64.  Has anyone been to a show here before?  Is it worth it?  Never been there before, so I guess my question is, how big is it?

Well I looked at both links and the Kenny Woods show did not have a contact so I emailed the people at the RK site and got the following response:

The show in Pikeville on Kenny’s website is listed incorrectly.  The Pikeville show is Aug. 11-12.  We are buying Kenny’s gun shows are we are keeping his name because everyone in Kentucky knows his name not R.K. Shows which is our company name.

Our show in Louisville this weekend is at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center which is exit 15 off I-64 on the east side of Louisville in a suburb called Jeffersontown.  When you get off the exit you will be on a street called Hurstbourne.  You need to take that to the south and the Clarion should be right there.

The hours are Sat. 9-5 & Sun. 9-4 and the admission is $8.00 for adults kids 6-12 $2 and under 6 is free. Admission is good for both days of the show. Thanks

I think I went to a guitar show there once, not a bad place but nothing like a big expo center.  Just a heads up that the Pikeville show date was in error so don't waste your time going there.

I stopped by the Clarion this morning and browsed around for about an hour.  Don't go if you are looking for ammo--Not much there and high prices.  Had some decent prices on some of the guns.  The best thing was the dealers were fairly nice.  They said hi and wanted to chat--some a little to much.  Did pick up a flashlight for the AR.  You know, just in case the Zombies come out at night.

Not a bad show other than the gentleman who offered to buy my pistol but smelled like a brewery fell on him.    Ammo seems like it gets higher every time I look for some.

I went today to look for some prelock S&W models and found pricing was all over the place, just like gasoline.  I saw some good buys for what I was looking for though.

watch for the Bill Goodman gun shows in Nashville, they are awesome with good prices, at Kennys shows everything is so overpriced you could do better at a gun store.
