How many of you would be interested in shooting the Army 25-Meter Alternate Course for the M16/Ar15 at Pickens The course requires 40 rounds and is shot on the 25 meter reduced target. We plan on shooting on April 30 11:00am
The course is a lot of fun and and is a marksmanship test for sure.

What are the firearm requirements? I assume irons only, like a high-power kind of thing?

A little early practice would be nice. Where can I get the kinds of targets we'll be shooting?

I'd be game for this. For those of us running a 50 yard zero, would we have to rezero before the class or could we do it then?

Silly rabbit, that's part of the game.

That's kind of why I wanted to get some targets and practice before the shoot.

There will be two divisions, iron sights and optical. Anything other than iron peep sights will be considered optical.

Those who want to confirm their 25M zero or re-zero will have the opportunity prior to the start of the COF. The FM says six rounds only for zero purposes. Unless 25 people want to zero, we don't have to adhere strictly to that.

For reference what is the actual height of the 30M head at the bottom of the target?

here is the target description and paper size I think that makes the bottom target 5" tall

M16 Target - (ALT-C) HEAVY TAGBOARD PAPER 25 Meter M16A1 target. Alternate course "C" qualification target. Black.
Size: 17 1/4" x 23"
