My dad and I are planning on being at ARPC first thing in the morning for bout an hour or so before I have to head back up 141 to get my baby and meet the wife and other two kids at school.
I'll try to give an update on traffic during my travels. I would expect south bound to be far worse. |

Down here in Fredericktown, I'm seeing a slight uptick in traffic, lots of campers and RVs, out of town plates and folks wandering around looking like tourists... Also talked to the camp ground manager at a local campsite we frequent. They are completly full up for the week, on a week they are normally pretty empty... He said they even filled up all the primitive sites too and that rarely ever happens, unless it's one of the major Holiday weekends, even then not this bad.... I'm seeing the same in the KC area. Heavier than usual but far from the predicted craziness. |

Clay County Sheriffs just announced that the rest areas near Lathrop are at capacity & have been closed by MODOT.

Traffic was pretty sparse going I to work. Penguin park was packed, and some vehicles pulled over on side streets. Nothing that stopped me from getting to work
 .

With all of the clouds, a lot of people got all dressed up for nothing. |

May as well be Eclipse related, 152 at Green hills Road is flooded. I have never seen that before. It's a few inches deep all the way across the highway

Watching the eclipse really was remarkable. I didn't see and real increase in traffic here in Fredtown.

I was down in F-Towne too, it was a spur of the moment idea. I couldn't get anyone else to go, everyone was working or crying about what traffic may be. I'm glad I took the day off, not many summer days left. I also got to try the new can, I waited 18 damn months for.

Okay, so the world didn't end. That's good. But does anybody know how long it takes for a one-time large dose of "OMG The World Is Gonna End So Why The Heck Not" cocaine to completely leave one's body? Asking for a friend.
