You don't tune an extractor to a recoil spring.  What pound recoil spring did you install?

I think I need to tune the barrel bushing to the magazine spring on my 1911. Does anyone have a barrel bushing tuning gauge I could borrow?

Thanks in advance.

if you switch to straight 30 weight ( synthetic ) you dont need the gauge.

I tried the heavier viscosity and it didn't help, so I borrowed a gauge. The guy that I borrowed the gauge from said that not only can I use it to tune my bushing and mag springs, but it will also help align the chrome pendershafts and section bearings.

I'll let you know how everything "tunes."

Be Safe.

Don't forget to calibrate the guide rod with the mag base plates, and you may need to polish the chrome pendershafts, and section bearings. If that dosn't work try a lumber strecher for your grip plates. Worked for me!!!!!!!!
