Not in IL anymore, but I lived in McHenry for 26 years, and still travel to IL ranges.

Moved a bit north to get cheaper housing and less traffic. I give it 5 years before I need to move again.

Tim here in Hoffman Estates and wishing I was back in the Corps and stationed somewhere more gun friendly. :
I suppose I should get the God damned and unconstitutional FOID now. I've been hiding behind my Georgia ID for a while now.

Not to take the thread horribly off topic but... isn't there some federal clause that says laws that violate the bill of rights is null and void? ... Not that the liberal wastes of spaces will notice that little "detail."

They also say it's not a registery, either. But how would the CAGE teams get lists of people who own guns?

I'm originally from Champaign county, but my wife and I are currently living in Madison, WI. We're often in central IL to visit family. Her family is in Decatur and mine is in Champaign.

When in Champaign we always just shoot at my parents land, but where do you guys from around Decatur shoot? Anyone want to take the risk of inviting me to shoot the next time I'm stuck at the inlaws for a week?

I shoot in Leroy, Illinois and any one of you can come to the range with me if your around there. Just drop me a line.

Edited to add: Leroy is reasonable close to Decatur, Champaign, or Bloomington.
