 I've been looking for an XD but the prices in California are insane.

New XD9s have been going for $350+/- here, but I think that is a little low. |

$497 + tax here for a 5" XD40, I believe the 3" and 4" are at or around the same price.

I've seen used XD's for $375 at the local Gander Mountain. Selling online is a great idea, but shipping a handgun is very expensive in my experience.

My local shop has a used XD-40 Sub Compact for $419.95.
For new XD-40 Sub Compacts and Service models they're getting $499.95. |

The going rate for a used XD 4" is around $350-$400. It's a buyers market for the 4" XD's. IMO you would be better off is you could find a trade for the SC.
