Found this set of N frame grips at the local pawn shop.  Anyone know if these are factory or if they're just cheap knockoffs?

I've seen 'em before, pretty sure that they are factory.

Look like factory “presentation” grips to me.  Nice score!

They look factory to me, maybe 1970s vintage. Nice find.

Look like what I have seen for sale in multiple gun shops in the late '70s / early 80s.

I vote legit S&W Presentation grips.

About time I scored a deal. Gave $40 for them.  Appreciate the info.  I think I have a suitable host for these.  I'll post another pic after I get them installed.  Thanks again!

Seems like every gun shop had a box or tub full of those grips, traded-in by gun owners buying Pachmayrs.

The cut-out on the right side makes me think they were for some kind of special run. Maybe to show a police department badge? S&W was know to do guns for agencies to commemorate something like 100 years or such. Just spitballing here. Those are nice grips for a really good price. Plus they shine on that short barreled Model 27.
