I would like to get another 45.  I was thinking about the XD45 but it only comes in 45 GAP.  How does this round feel compaired to the 45 ACP?  Does it kick more or does it feel the same?

I shot the .45gap out of a Glock for the 1st time Saturday. Reminded me of a 40s&w. IMHO it had more muzzle flip that a standard .45acp.

If you travel you can ALWAYS buy .45acp ammo. Hard to believe one can do that with .45gap, IMO.

Good Point! I would wait a few years before buying a .45gap. I have a feeling this cartridge will disapear fast.

Yea I hear ya.  I wish the XD came in the 45ACP.  I think I will hold off and get something else.

Thanks for the comments.  I already have a 220ST and love it.  I am lookin fer some tuperware gun fer my collection.  I agree with the 45GAP being a very hard round to find.

i can't imagine a scenario where i'd rather have one of these on my hip rather than a glock 22.

that chamber wall looks THIN.

these g37s are gonna be $300 in a few years.  but that's just my opinion, i could be wrong.

To me the 45GAP seems to be an answer to a non-existant problem.  10 years from now, you'll still be able to find .45ACP.  Who knows for the GAP.  If you're getting anything other than a "traditional" (70 series, mil-spec etc) 1911, +P ACP shouldn't be a problem at all.

Mr. Browning's rules: .45=1911 , 9mm=HP
