Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - p232 rust problem

i have a blued p232.  i have a small amount of rust on the top of the slide.  the pain in the ass thing about it is that its in those little ridges.  any ideas on how i can mitigate this problem?  i know that the only way to get rid of it is to have the slide refinished but as i am looking to sell the pistol thats not a viable solution.
