Unless you work nights & wish for a light underneath, I'd go with the FS model. Better balancing, IMO.

I've got a 92FS and love it! The Vertec is pretty comfy to hold, haven't shot one yet. As I'm getting back into .45's a doubt I'll be buying another 9mm for awhile, less I get a good deal on a Glock...

The grip is a little different. The light rail will give you some options. I think it takes the same mags as the FS. I wanted one till I seen the price. Buy a good used FS.

While my 92fs is my normal carry piece, I like my 92 vertec. It is currently at LTT getting a trigger job and having the short trigger replaced with the standard/long trigger (too used to the 92fs feel). The 1911-style grip is nice. I probably won't be hanging anything off the rails.

I held one at a gunshop. I didn't care much for the smaller grip. When pulling the trigger I had to literally wrap my finger all around the trigger to drop the hammer, almost to the point of my index finger running into the other side of the grip. Definately a gun made for much smaller hands than mine.

I love my Elite 1A (vertec frame)

i need to get to the gunshop to play with one. i like the idea of a slimmer grip that maintains the ability to use hi-caps. my hand size is m/l. for those of you who have shot both, which angle do you prefer?

got one today
the grip was a little better feeling than the regular 92fs, plus I like having the accessory rail for future options
I do miss the look of the barrel sticking out like on the normal 92fs

If you have short fingers/small hands its an awsome way to go. I got mine six months ago, I always wanted a 92FS but my finger wouldnt reach the trigger. The Vertec fits my hand is accurate and reliable.

I really enjoy my Vertec. I have put about 1500 rds through it and its been completely reliable. Very accurate as well once you get used to the trigger. I shoot it more than my Elite II . It has become my "nightstand" gun.

Vertec is an updated/thinner 92FS...

Probably Beretta's contender for the rumored 'FHS' (next US service pistol).....
