Only on account of our stupid SOPs. We're now required to have a Threat Level II holster for off-duty carry. I have been carrying for almost seven years now (concealed carry permit before LE) and prefer carrying IWB. It ticks me off to no end that I may have to give up an open-top in the waistband holster since it's what I've come to know and love in my armed lifetime.

Does anybody know of a good IWB holster with a thumb break? Or am I just going to have to live by the "if it's concealed, nobody will know" ethic? BTW: I carry an HK USP40 Full size. (I know that's going to cut the possiblities significantly) Maybe I should use this as an excuse to pick up a 1911 for off-duty carry.

Check out www.fist-inc.com/holsters/Default.htm

A guy I work with turned me onto him, then he came by our booth at Trexpo and seemed like a really nice guy. From what my buddy said and the impression I got by talking to him he'll attach a unicorn to your holster if you can come up with one.

On the website thumb breaks are listed as a 30 dollar option for any holster.

Good luck with it,
Alan Elam
