in the manual mcrp 3-01b pistol marksmanship on page 1-7 is listed an assault holster. who makes this holster and what model is it? i don't know how post a picture of it sorry

Not having access to that manual all I can do is speculate, and I like that so here goes.

I would guess it's referring to the Safariland 6004.  Some of the Recon boys still have older Safariland models, and there are any number of privately purchased rigs in use.

The Safariland is now standard issue, within 1stMarDiv anyway, for the craptacular M9.  They were a convenient woodland green when I was in, so don't forget the Marine Corps issue tan krylon for that authentic look.
