Its a stainless s&w model 60 in 38spl. Its a older one that doesn't have the integrated safety lock. Thanks

I have one like yours and while I carry +p and shoot 5rds of carry ammo per practice session I don't think it's going to hurt it unless your practice ammo is all +p.

A moderate amount of +P won't hurt your M60, regardless of vintage. I owned two M649's that rarely saw a standard pressure load and neither had any problems the day I foolishly traded them away.

No problem.

Per S&W, +P .38 Special ammo shouldn’t be used in revolvers made before they introduced model numbers, which was about 1956.

+1

Shooting 2-3 boxes of +P a year shouldn't be a problem, IMO. To practice with, I would switch to shooting .38spl wadcutters. The slower, lighter recoiling rd will make you focus more on shooting accurately. By not beating your hand to death, you can actualy enjoy the shooting & get nicely dialed in to the gun's trigger release.

+1. Just inherited a SW M60, 2" made in 1969. Per the SW guy, "A little is fine, but not a steady diet". FWIW put approx 100 Remington GS +P's thru it for "feel" with no problems.
