I have some 230 gr .45 that i keep for my defensive round in my Sig P220R. I haven't shot a whole lot of it, about 100 rds, but it seems very accurate. Shoots fine, no feeding problems.

I never hear anyone raving about the XTP bullet.  From what I've gathered, the XTP bullet doesn't seem to expand expecially well.  That's great for penatration, but some expansion is certainly a good thing.

However, the above is mostly Internet hearsay, so take it FWIW.  The black cases do look cool though...

I use 180gr TAP in my XD-40 Tactical for defense. Never have actually had to use it so no first hand experience with it on flesh of any kind. But, I use it when hog hunting also since I carry my XD as a last resort if 30 rounds of 5.56 don't drop the hog. I've never heard exceptional things about it, nor bad things. But like said above only internet crap so who knows what really true. I got helluva deal on it, at least I thought so, from Midwayusa so I picked up some.
