just picked up what appears to be a springfield "loaded" that has a green frame and black slide.
is this a factory option?
did someone bastardize a perfectly decent 1911?
it appears to be a baked on finish..
paid 550 OTD, figured for all the stuff on it vs the base model at 500 OTD was worth it.
I can live with it, want a good machine for carry that I dont care about the finish,,this is it..
tired of 1k guns getting scratched up...so if action works well, will leave alone.

Is the gun you purchased a Champion model? if so it came like this from the factory. Only other model i know of to come from SA with the Black slide with a green frame is the MC Operator.

probably an aftermarket,
