If I was to buy a glock 19 is there any way to buy conversion barrels for it to shoot say 40 cal or 357 sig? Thanks.

the barrel is not your only problem. You would need a new magazine, ejector and extractor as well. That would be the correct way to do it.   It would not be a drop in conversion you could switch out during a range session.

No, the ONLY way to convert it is to get a complete G23 top end and the ejector. The breach face on the G19 slide is to small to accept the 40.
