i have a glock 19 gen 2 night sights at the local fun shop for $240. problem is the trigger is really bad. after the trigger goes click the it continues to trave lit feels like the spring is bad. is it worth the purchase to send it back to glock to service? purchase price 240 plus shipping to glock $20 plus probably a $45 ffl fee=total 305 . oh and bought a minty gen 3 19 for 440 last week.

If you think you can handle pushing three pins out you can replace the entire trigger assembly yourself.  As for FFL transfers, Glock can ship it back to you directly.

Don't know about the trigger, but expect that while at Glock, they will remove your night sights and replace them with the standard plastic ones.  Plan on it.  You wouldn't get your sights back.   Best to take them off before send it, or send only the lower.

Buy it then attend a Glock shooting sports match. They have factory armorer there to replace and fix almost everything.

I'm not sure where you heard that, but it is quite false.  Matter of fact, the sights are just about the only thing Glock will leave on there if you send a gun in, unless you specifically request that they refinish the slide.  If you send in a gun for refurbishment, they will completely replace everything except for the frame, slide and barrel.  When they do that, they will return any after market parts you had in your gun in a baggy.  Also, when you send it in for a function problem, they want the whole gun so they can function check it when they are done doing their repairs.

There is probably nothing wrong with your Glock.  It probably has an NY style trigger.  I have never heard of the symptom you are describing, but it almost sounds like you are describing what an NY style trigger does because they can rebound the trigger a little bit forward after you have pulled it.

Sights are the only aftermarket parts Glock approves of. They will not remove your sights.

Attended my first GSSF match with a 6month old G19 with about 1K rounds thru it.  I detail striped it before the match and the armorer still stripped the whole gun and replaced the plunger and some springs.

You just have to pay for a membership at the match ($35) and the match fee - the fun is free.

Since when?  I have been involved with Glocks since 1997.  The only time I have heard of Glock removing sights is if the gun was sent in for slide refinishing.  And even then, they would return the aftermarket sights in a baggy.

Buy it. Join GSSF. Take advantage of GSSF armorer's course. Install factory parts yourself and enjoy

Geez at $240 you could replace every part in that gun with new parts and still come out good.

Follow this site for your first few times and after a few times you'll have it memorized it's so easy.
