All I know is you can have history/authentication done from them for $$$, and you prob know it too, hence your question.

You could tell us the manufactor of the pistol,and the Ser # range,and I'll bet Bob Cole or someone here would tell you all you need to know!

Here's a site with all Colt numbers up to 1978.
proofhouse.com/colt/ Numbers are available up through 1985, post 'em and we can date them. For numbers after 1985, call the Colt factory during normal business hours and they'll give you a production date, but NO other info. |
