seems not to long ago there was a custom 1911 posted up here that looked "ol' skool". Maybe started as a 1918 done in a blue with the controls in a polished blue or some other type of blue. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

beautiful piece, but not the one I am thinking of.

The one I am thinking of didn't have a beavertail grip safety. I think it was a 1918 that was fancied up. The controls had a different kind of bluing or finish that made them stand out from teh reat of the gun. I may be SOL on finding it though, as I just went over the 22 pages of posts here and could not find it.
