Are you referring to the Springfield Champion 1911? If you are I had one. Didn't like it because it didn't have a solid guiderod. Just a spring. I went to several gunshops looking to order a guiderod for it, but none of them could find one for me. Thats my opinion.

I have two. One older one that is two tone. blue slide stainless frame that i shoot in I.D.P.A. it has a barrelbushing and is very reliable. the other one has the heavy barrel and is stainless steel that i've shot only a little so far. i like the size and the gun's very well.
