that's called a grip chop.  People who like the a longer sight radius and a small grip so that they can conceal it better. The longer grips are what gives a print of a gun most of the time. Functionally, it has a use. Visually i think it's ugly. I wouldn't let just anyone do that either.  Hard to fix a mistake when you're cutting polymer. JMO

I have had my glock 22 since 1991.  It is a dear old friend.   Since Colorado recently passed a concealed carry bill I have been thinking about getting a 19 or 23.  But I have a small fortune in holsters for my 22 and I love  the gun.  I was thinking this may a make it a little more concealabe.  Maybe I should just buy a new 23 or 19.
