.45 newbie question - which .45s can shoot .45 +P?

Hello folks.

Which pistols can fire .45 ACP +P without any problems? I know HKs can handle that, but thats as far as I know.

You'd really want to check with the manufacturer of the particular pistol.

Most new production 1911s can handle +p, provided you put in a heavier recoil spring. As far as other models of pistol, I don't know, but you'd probably just have to put a heavier spring in.

All .45APC guns can shoot +p loads. It the +p+ loads you have to be carefull with.
