Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - .40 cal shortage?

My father-in-law told me he was talking to retired police officer in MN and he said that 40 cal ammo is getting harder to find. I am not really sure what is what getting at but thought I would ask yall. I have not really had any problems finding some. Is there a shortage or something?

My Federal 40 cal orders eta is 120 days. Some of the distributors that I use for Winchester say my order will not be here until spring of 08.
