I have a .40 P229 and would like to buy a .357 barrel.  I could not find the barrel on Sigs website.  Anyone know where to get one?

BarSto Barrels has ones they make if you're looking for .357 Sig barrel. Else troll the EE for one.

From SIG site:

www.sigarms.com/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=29&idproduct=100

..strange that they dont list the 229... but the barrel length is the same as the SP2340, so it *MIGHT* be the same barrel... I'd give SIG a call and ask them.

Thanks.  I also thought it was strange not to list the 229.  I will call them Monday.  I would rather have a "factory" sig barrel than an aftermarket.

BarSto makes excellent quality barrels at a decent price.

From BarSto website: Semi-drop in barrels generally do not require fitting and will provide a tighter fit than the factory barrel. Accuracy resulting in 1 3/4" to 2" max at 25 yards using match grade ammo. Most of our semi drop in barrels will drop-in without fitting.

Talk to John at Rainerarms.com or James at Ordanance outsellers. I just bought my Sig P229R DAK from John in 357 and got the 40 barrel for 100 bucks. Real nice guy to deal with. Either one you talk to you are in good hands.

Topgunsupply.com has them, also Teknic on this board (Rainier Arms), and ordnanceoutsellers.com, as mentioned above.

The barrels from the sigpro and classic series will most certainly NOT interchange.

Try calling sig arms directly, last time I was ordering from them they had .357 barrels in stock. They might just not have them listed on their website.

I called Sig this morning and they do have the barrel in stock.  It was $179.  She said I should have it in 5 or 6 days.
