The Det 1 was a small custom order to very specific criteria. The Warrior is a production model. The rail is more applicable to the majority of lights on the civilian market. The grips were a matter of availibility. The initial production of Coyote Brown gunner grips went to the USMC guns. Plus the Warrior retained the series 70 firing system and the internal extractor. Kimber initially did not intend to return that system to production, as they intended to have a firing pin safety in all their guns. So they had to contain the cost of production somewhere or the price would have been prohibitive.
