I have purchased a XD45 Tac and like it alot.  I have a few questions that I would appreciate answered....

First off, does anyone have a pdf file of the xd armorer's manual they would send me?
Secondly, is there anyway (hypothetically) to disable the grip safety so that the slide can be racked without depressing the gs?
Is there a sight pusher I can buy so that I may install night sights on it?
and lastly, I have heard and read that sig sights fit xd's.  Has anyone did this and can I see a pic?  Is it only certain sigs, or most of the semiauto sig line?

thanks in advance!!

Sorry no file on the armorer's manual . . . I don't think that Springfield wants anyone dicking around with the pistols,  but sending it in to them to work on. But someone might still have one.

Same answer about work be done on the Springfield and I don't think that you can disable the grip safety and IMHO wouldn't even attempt it. You would void your warranty and you might have a dangerous situation on your hands. Possibly a legal one too.

I have a heavy duty puller and it won't even budge the sights. Springfield from what I have learned uses a Hydrolic press to install and remove their sights. What you need is a 3lb hammer and steel punch along with a solid table vise to pop those suckers off. Or pay to have a good gunsmith remove them. Once the stock set has been removed then it's a piece of cake to change out sights on them with a standard puller or a hammer and punch.

Sure a little JB weld and black paint. Sorry I could not help it.

He also offers a sight pusher but you would be better of sending them the slide.

Leave the grip saftey alone, you will get used to it.  Try the TFO sights for the XD, they kick ass.  Send them in to the xdstore and they will install them for you.

You could always put a Hogue handall grip sleeve on it and that should depress the safety.
