Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - XD45ACP Service or Tactical?

I cant decide on which to order. Ive alway carryed a 1911 5" as my CCW piece but I need a new side arm now. The service model would be easier to cover then the tactical but does the tactical offer much more in control?

I like the Service. The balance feels just right for me.

Service works fine. I got good accuracy with it and I'm a mediocre shot.

I've carried 1911s and Glocks forever but the XDs are my new favorites.

I own both XDs in 45ACP and IMO the Tactical is a marginally better shooter at the range, but I carry the Service everyday as I feel it prints less and is slightly better balanced for snap shots... At encounter ranges the Service is my pick...

There it is for what it's worth...
