There are several current production Ranger ammo as well as some out of production ammo that still can be found. Which Ranger was it? T-Series, Bonded, SXT, Partition Gold, or regular jhp.

In my opinion, that's the best .40 Ranger out there. I'm not too fond of most 180 gr .40 because of variable penetration and expansion on par with 9mm, but the 180 gr HST seems to have fixed that. IMHO the 180 gr HST the best .40 SW load, followed by the 165 gr Ranger-T and HST.

I sale tons of the RA40TA, as well as the Federal Tactical 165gr 40 cal ammo.

I'm issued Ranger STX 165gr RA40TA in my Glock 23 and I use Ranger JHP in 155gr in my H&K USP 40f. Both shoot well and have never had issues with either. I found out that the same propellant is used in all of the Ranger ammo line. You could check out : wwww.Brassfetcher.com to see ballistic gel results of the above mentioned ammo.
