"gas retarded" sounds like HK's P7... Since the barrel looks to be fixed, I'm going to guess that its a similar system.

tag, looks promising except for the grip contouring and lack of slide stop.

I saw them at SHOT. Looks like they are competeing with the Kahr PM9 guns. These are tiny but still have a manual safety. The price was a bit less than the Kahr.

Everything old is new again.

It looks like the ADP is made in South Africa and was also made by Tanfoglio:

Wilson has a list price of $579.00.

Some guns just don't sell until the price is high enough.

I asked Massimo Tanfoglio about the gun, he stopped selling it because the gas system (a la HK P7) would foul badly after only 100rds and would be hell to clean out unless you did it right after a range session before it got crusty.  He still has a few hundred in stock he's ready to give away.  They are extremely ergonomic, have decent triggers and are smaller than the smallest Kahr with a double-stack mag that holds 10 rounds.  They also have a manual safety which appeals to me in a carry gun.  I'm a Tanfoglio international distributor and just ordered five at giveaway price, I'll sell them cheap to my friends who need pocket guns after explaining the problem.  They look silly and I walked past them at SHOT a couple of times, I only held one because I was waiting for someone in the LE section.  They fit the hand very well.  My pocket gun is a Taurus M85 .38Sp, I doubt I've fired 200 rounds through it in 10 years.
