Have a gen 2 23 I don't really care for. I'd like to convert it over to 9mm or atleast have a barrel and slide available for conversion to 9mm as a backup gun since I don't stock .40.

Where can one find 9mm gen 2 g19 slides and barrels?

Yeah, just don't count on the slides being in stock when you order.

Your best bet would be a Lone Wolf slide. It's stainless and not as corrosion resistant as the original Glock slide. but if you want to convert a .40 to 9mm this is your best bet.

G19 Slide

Just curious - why not get a conversion barrel? It's a lot cheaper than a barrel/slide combo. Even if you decide to swap extractors/ejectors that only adds about $25-30 to the price.

I just bought a factory complete G19 slide off of glocktalk for less than $250 shipped. I bought it because I am picking up my new od G23 tomorrow. I've had a black G19 for a few years and wanted an od 19 to go with it. I'm going to keep the .40 upper though, to keep the numbers matching parts together.

ETA: I watched GB, and there is one that keeps getting posted for over $400 which is retarded. I've also been watching our EE and GT's for sale board. You could also post WTB adds.

Buy a gen 2 19 and sell the 23. If you watch GB you can get one for less than 350 before shipping. If it was me I would just get the lone wolf conversion barrel.

I like it and it fills a little niche in my collection. Only need a gen 3, rtf, and 4 23 to complete the entire line up.

Do you think you would keep your G23 upper or sell it?

Keep it, most likely, unless a trade for a gen 2 19 slide came up.

Why does it have to be a gen2 vs a gen3 slide? Also, how can you tell the difference, besides the serial number?
