Looking to build a 1911a1 and so far have not been able to find a bare frame for a build.  


Anyone know where I might be able to find one?

I've never seen one pre-parked, but the bare frames can be purchased from

I'm sure there are others but this is just a quick list.  Caspian seems to be the frame of choice for custom builds, especially 1911a1s.

OFF TOPIC, how come there isnt a sticky at the top of this forum with all the cool .45 / 1911 links? Im pretty new to the .45 scene and a post like this with the links really help out. I didnt know what all and who all carried what.
