My primary carry is usually frontal groin with a an untucked shirt (and my gut) hiding the weapon handle. I prefer strong side rear hip carry but it usually prints too much in the summer.

I have also carried in a pocket holster in the pocket, but it always seems unsafe and too slow.
I have never tried ankle carry, but it too looks slow and unsafe.

How do you normally carry concealed?

My P239 has a very slim, short grip, so when I wear it in a IWB Right rear hip, with a loose shirt, it only prints if I bend over. Not really worried about it, could be a cellphone as far as observers are concerned, or insulin pump or anything. It's not like I'm brandishing or wearing open carry in public. With my P220, I can do the same, but have to wear a very loose shirt untucked, so I usually wear that one with a jacket in a horizontal jackass rig. Same for my full size USP.

Tagged for ideas, just in case my state gets it's head out of it's ass and allows concealed carry.

We have a goofy law in Georgia that you can't carry your concealed on you ankle or anywhere below your waist.

Gotta love the lawmakers and their foolishness.

Primarily 5:00 SS, but it depends on what I'm carrying.

M1991A1 and HK USP45 as above, sometimes S.O.B.

Para C.6 and Makarov both go front groin 1:00 SS.

Gimme a BREAK!

I carry ankle a couple times per week in certain situations.  I use the Fobus thing for my G27.  I love it.  It's a bit slow like a shoulder rig, but not at all unsafe.  I've run the bases at a family softball game with it on.

Having grown up in Canada, and then spent time in the PRK, this is my first time in a Shall-Issue state.  I am still getting used to carrying concealed.
I am trying strong side rear hip, but am always concerned I am showing.  I was told to wear frontal groin in crowd situations for more control, but heck if I know if that is correct and I figure the cross draw is more difficult with the shirt in the way.  I carry 1911 (Kimber Pro CDP) or Hi Power.  Anyone have any advice?

That is a bizarre rule. I suppose a thigh holster would be illegal too.

Anyone use a fanny pack?

I think they are so out of fashion right now that they just scream "gun" if you see a black one.

I agree.

However, I think when top-hats make a come back, that's where all handguns, and some carbines should be carried.
