BTW, why are some of these small cube safes lined in plastic?  Insulation value?  Covering up the rust inside the safe?

It was once 'splained to me that the plastic liners would melt in a fire, but only to the point that they provided an airtight seal to protect the contents from combusion until a certain temperature was reached. That this with a grain of salt...  ==bob

Other than the fact that the combination is being stored in the safe, there are several glaring problems here.

Someone has all those handguns crammed in there scratching each other up whenever they are looked at, except for that six shooter which is probably rusting away in that leather holster.

The safe could be carried off quite easily, which makes it not so safe.

The open celled foam that lines the bottom holds moisture.

Add two shelves and those guns could all rest comfortably on their sides.

There are so  many right answers, including:

There are ONLY two revolvers.

You shouldn't store them in leather (even though I do a few)

That foam is a moisture trap.

and

There's A WHOLE LOT OF WASTED SPACE IN THERE waiting for more guns!

I'd say its not too safe with the door wide open.
