And not to be nitpicky... but slidestop I'm guessing is MIM too.

Are the frame/slides forged?

As always Steve -- thanks!

He stopped midway through the list. His point was everything but the slide, bbl and frame. Yes the slide and frame are forged. Oh you guys missed the grips

what does MIM stand for and how does it differ from any other part? Do these parts make the Warrior a less inferior weapon or what? I am thinking of getting one and this boggles me. Thanks sb...

Have you experienced failures due to your MIM parts?
If so what were they?

Thanks for the info.
My understanding of most of the MIM failures are that they are due to "voids" in the material, and that the failure occured fairly early in the service life.
Has that held true in you experiences, also, were these failures in Kimber manufactured weapons or other brands? i

Part # 087-809-100 or 087-809-101 Ed Brown HardCore Firing Pin Stop We got the blue one.

Part # 087-811-000 Ed Brown Match Disconnector

Part # 087-046-832 Ed Brown Solid Barrel Bushing There's several on the page, we got the part number listed.

Not included in this list are a grip safety and thumb safeties.

Neil,

Did you have to fit the barrel bushing or did it just drop in?

Thanks!

While I have heard of/seen a few failures of these parts my Gold Match has never had a parts failure.  I got 25,000 rounds through it before the stock sear "went away", mind you it still functioned I just didn't like the feel as it wore.

I've slowly replaced just about everything except the barrel, slide, frame and rear sight with either Ed Brown or EGW parts.  Necessary?  Not really, but because I shoot 12-15K a year through that gun (IPSC) I feel a lot better with good parts in it.  BTW, I'd have to check my records, but I've got somewhere between 37 and 38K on it now.
