I will mainly be shooting IDPA with it. I like the 1911 platform and it seems like a good deal. What says the Hive?

you know bee hive or borg hive(star trek reference) its a collective and much more interesting then saying you other members. this site is a group of gun nuts so it would be like a hive of members. its really an easy thing to understand

I use a Springfield Loaded for IDPA. It's a good gun with no malfunctions, accurate, and a great trigger out of the box measured at 4.5lbs. OP, $900 is a little high, but if it is a "NM" prefix serial numbered pistol, offer him $850 for it. All he can say is no. I'd buy it for that price. Two years ago I couldn't find a Loaded NM serial numbered pistol so when I did I picked it quick.

+1

At least you stand a better chance of having a good barrel fit.
