I was thinking the same thing.  The size difference wasnt too much so I held off for awhile.  Now, I just keep a TLR 1 on the 19 and then I got a 26.  Big difference now.  It is justified in my mind.

The 26 is THE backup for a 19 (or 17).

The G26 is a great pistol... Very accurate ~

I suggest GAP floorplates

I'd carry the G26 and keep the G19 as a backup and range piece.

I have two Glock 19's and I have a Gen 3 G26 on the way that will be a extreme hot/humid weather primary but mostly a secondary to whichever G19 I happen to be carrying.

It's perfect. Small, 10+1, accurate and any 9mm Glock mag will fit in it.

How will you carry it?

I dont know about a small weight difference but in my experience carrying a 19 secondary to my m16A2 in Afghanistan for 6 months everyday is not a big deal for my weight 140 lbs. You guys are just so 6 years old to me. Every ounces matter? pfft...

OP your 26 would be a good back up. But I would also consider the 19 to carry.

I will carry my G19 strong side IWB , and the G26 Left front pocket,or ankle carry in a Galco ankle glove holster with 2 spare 17 round mags.Thats a total of 61 rounds of 124grn Gold Dots.

I would strongly recommend against pocket carry unless you have some positively massive pockets.

Ankle carry isn't bad but make sure you don't skimp when buying the holster. I also find it is much easier to ankle carry when you have a stable and even platform to anchor the holster to, such as an 8-10" leather boot, rather than just your leg.

I pocket carry the 27 in 34" waist wranglers with ease. i also like the blackhawk check six at about 5 oclock.

I know it works for some people but I certainly am not one of them. I've also never meant anyone outside of arf that frequently pocket carries a subcompact glock, and almost everyone at my work owns or has owned a G27.

Same

But I rarly carry both. They complement eachother Nicely. The 26 conceles better if needed.

Eta I routinely pocket carry the 26.

I don't carry both at the same time but I rotate between the two. I think the pairing makes complete sense if you can carry both. Both are solid carry firearms.
