I was wondering what, if any, weapon light people used on their small rimfire pistols like the SR22? I have a X300 ultra that is a bit too big, any suggestions for a high quality replacement that I can use would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Cole

It isnt as bright as one of the better bigger lights, but I am considering putting a streamlight TLR4 on my p22. it is a single CR2 lithium instead of the bigger 123 battery models. The light isnt as bright but the TLR4 comes with the laser too. I have seen them for $120. I dont know what use you want it for, I am thinking the TLR4 light and laser would be good for popping critters in the back yard at night....

I looked at the TLR4 but thought it looked a little "spindly" and snag-prone hanging out there.  Instead I went with the Crimson Trace Railmaster lights.  Plenty bright, lightweight, and not as likely to get caught up on things.  I think it's only real vice is that it's not really quick release but that's a minor thing IMHO.

I've never donned a light on the one sr22 that I've shot, but I think you sum it up well.  AND that CT looks like a perfect fit for the SR22.  Well done, sir.  I now know what light I'll buy for my soon-to-be-owned SR22 if I decide to get a light for it.

I'm running a TLR-4 on mine. I've only owned the pistol for a few days, but so far I like the combination. I use it for skunks and what not at night on my property. The light is plenty bright for .22 pistol distance and the laser is quick.
