as far as plinking ammo i am using blazer brass these days. i usually try to keep between 500-1000 rounds on hand. i think it is much better stuff than wwb and especially better than umc.

MFS. Very good, VERY clean, accurate, low cost ammo. Every time I find it I stock up. S&B makes pretty good stuff. I bought 4K last year at Cabalas at 7.99 per box. 9mm was $4.99. Bought a couple K of that also. Yes, they looked at me funny because my cart would hardly roll.

Try a box of MFS if you can find it. You will be surprised. Better then WWB by far.

I keep around a 1000 rounds of American Eagle and around 500 rounds of HST and 200 rounds TAP in 40 and 45 but most important I keep around 3000 rounds Lake City XM193 and M855 Mix.
