Just picked up a GLOCK 43 and I need to order some night sights for it. I'm partial to Trijicon HD sights. I have them on several pistols in orange.

I got a Amazon gift card for Christmas so I wanted to order them off Amazon but all they have in-stock are the yellows. How well do the yellows pick up compared to the orange? Seems like the orange would work better but I've never seen yellow in person.

Thoughts?

I like the orange better. Others swear by the yellows. In the end it's all personal preference really.

I've tried both. Excellent sights.

I prefer the Orange though, my eyes seem to track it more.

In my experience, orange > yellow. Your miles may vary, my friend!

I have both. Orange seems to stand out better in full light. In low light - Yellow is more visible to me.

Looked at both got the orange for my P30sk. The orange jumped out at me more than the yellow.

Yellow for me. They just seem easier to acquire and adjust to.

At this point I've lost count of how many sets I've got installed on my Glocks, started off with Orange.... but I've switched to Yellow... one of the easiest colors for the eyes to pickup.

Currently running yellow on:

G23 (EDC)
G43 (EDC #2)
G42
probably missing a glock or two....

Orange on:

G17
G34
G20
G21
G29
G19

If I had the ability, I'd switch the all to yellow.... green and yellow offer the greatest contrast and are the easiest to pickup.

I got both. For me, orange hands down.

Prefer orange myself but it's pretty much pure personal preference. Either one really draws your eye in.

Good ole Orange

Yellow seems to get washed out in bright daylight.

Orange.
Shine some white light on it & the orange really stands out, especially during night shooting.

Completely personal preference, I dont like the HD's and use the standard Trijicon GL01 on all my carry guns in a green on green format. Works for me, If I went with the HD's i would get the orange because I have a hard time picking up on the yellow.

Your eye receives and processes the yellow color better, hence why safety uniforms have went away from safety orange to safety yellow.

In another thread somebody reported the orange rings guarantee for glow is less than the yellow.

I have the yellow ones, they are super bright in broad daylight but there is a point where ambient light is just dim enough to not see the yellow but not enough to see the tritium...the tritium though is super bright. My only complaint with the sights is that the rear one has very sharp corners and angles and can be a but uncomfortable when cc.

orange!!!!

It depends on your eyes. I have both. Orange "pops" better for me.

Also look at your surroundings. I'm in the high desert. Lots of natural brown and yellow colors. Orange "pops" where the yellow can get lost in the background.

I'm in the same boat. Can someone that has both post a pic in daylight and night to get a side by side comparison?

Orange. Because that's all I found in stock at the time.

I have a set w/ orange, it seems to 'jump out' for me more so than the yellow. They do not disappoint.

I have the yellow front on my P2000 and it works well. I also prefer green or yellow fiber optic sights to orange and red.

I'm an orange man. I never thought much about front sights with outlines until I gave them a try. It picks up so fast for me in the daylight. I never thought I would like it so much. I use Ameriglo Pro sights because I like the single dot tritium rear.
