Which one do you guys like better? I think it would be neat to get a surplus handgun and have been looking around. I can get these two for about the same price at www.southernohiogun.com and need some opinions.

Coin toss.
I think the Tokarev can be fitted with a 9MM barrel.
The CZ is so sleek and comes with an extra mag and holster...I'd do the CZ myself...and start huntin' up some ammo.

I like the CZ-52. It's able to handle higher pressure loads. You can also shoot the .223 Timbs, a sabot load that really screams out of an already high velocity round.

Get the CZ then look for military surplus ammo. The stuff is steel cored. Very good penatration. Looks on the bullet prof vest sites. The CZ is one of the best penatrating rounds.

I can get 1600fps out of my CZ52 handloading and not be overpressure.
I have also seriously considered using my Tokarev TT33 as a CCW piece since it is smaller and lighter and has been fitted with a navy arms 9mm barrel. Still have the original 7.62x25 sitting around though.
Also they used to make 9mm barrels for the CZ52s. Haven't seen them in some time.
For really awesome handload data for the CZ52 see the latest Accurate arms reloading manual.

The CZ-52. It is an engineering marvel. I think it is the best handgun buy for the money. $125!
What can beat it!

"Big and heavy" is an asset if you're going to run hot loads through a gun, like .223 Timbs.

I've gotta go with the old arfcom adage of "Get Both! "

Those are sweet!  DO you have to reload those or can you buy them some where?

You can buy them loaded, but they are very expensive- $30 for 50rds if I remember correctly. Your best bet would be to reload them yourself. www.Makarov.com sells the sabots and Starline brass.
