Back in  1993 I purchased new two commemerative (sp) 92 FS with special FBI National Academy serial numbers... retired now and thinking about shooting one at the local range with my Armalite AR15, and Ruger K1022 T, also have a couple of wheel guns, Mdl 10 , and 5 shot chief special.

So here's the question, should I shoot or not, sell or not, googled saw one 92 FS FBI for sale for $1500, who knows if it would ever sell, but these are collector's quality, your thoughts?

I wouldn't! 92fs's are easy to come by if you really want to shoot one. I'd box those up and put them on display in a nice case. Or if you only want to keep one, Sell the other for a nice profit and spend the change on a 92 and ammo!

My .02$.

Dpn't shoot it. The longer you keep it NIB the higher it will go in value. Once you shoot it it becomes more or less just another 92FS. (Not quite but certainly not the same as NIB)

If you have two, sell one for $1500 if you can and hell, you could buy 2-3 regular 92's for that.  If anything, keep both to go up in value or whatever and just buy a regular 92.  Just DON'T shoot it!

Thanks for your input, neighbor is interested in buying one for $1500, so it looks like I am going to be in the market for a 22lr pistol or revolver, and maybe a pocket 9 mm or 45,  any suggestions?

Did you buy them to collect or shoot. Are you rich enough to collect "good" guns. If you are guess what, then you'r also rich enough to shoot those same guns and not worry about it, Books are for reading, guns are for shooting. I decided awhile ago not to buy anything I won't shoot. I don't "collect" guns.

I bought this gun. I carry it and shoot the hell out of it. Holster wear and all.

Shoot it or SELL IT.

It says "EAT AT MELLS"

Just kidding.

It's the serial # just like the "real" Homeland Security Pistols.

I would say also, don't shoot the 92, there are many on the new & used market.

I would suggest a S&W M17/M617.  The MSRP on a NIB 617 is something like $800
Model 617

S&W Model 41 at a MSRP NIB ~$1,200

These guns have gone up quite a bit since I was in the market for one.
Or try the used market.  These guns will last many lifetimes.  Very worthwhile shooters and investments.  You can shoot it and then sell it for at least what you paid.
