Put about 200 rds down with the new Raider today.
I don't really know much about 1911's and this is my first but it really is a lovely shooter. Last 45 I had was a full size steel witness which I loved. No gun related malfunctions but I did have some first couple of round feed malfunctions with some new Wilson Combat 10rdrs where the front of the round would catch on the feed ramp. Last half dozen mags runs seemed to work the issue out without further problems but I'll keep an eye on these till I'm satisfied that it has worked itself out. Factory mags X2 and Wilson Combat 8rdrs were flawless. This was all with Fiocci 230 gr .45 FMJ just to break the gun in. All mags were brand new. Overall I'm very happy with the Raider and the trigger is incredible as is the fit and finish overall. Now I'm considering a Tisas WW2 GI model of some sort. ![]() |

This gun makes me REALLY happy that I decided to get back in to .45ACP.
Do you recommend a model specifically for a WW2 version? I'm not overly familiar with your product line. Just called my FFL today about my Raider order. He checked and for some reason never got a notification from the distributor that it is in stock. He ordered it for me today, and it should be in early next week.

I was wanting a Raider in 9mm! I have the carry commander in 9mm and it’s an awesome gun. Thought I was going to have to build a duty in 9mm into a Raider. When will the 9mm Raider be on the Tisas USA website? |

10-15mins.

Put 100 rounds through mine today. Only one F2F but I don't think I seated the magazine all the way.

Anyone have the UPC for the 9mm raider? I can't find it on the website.

That Tisas shade is more an Olive Drab #7, and since I have no plans to go fight in a desert ever again at my age, that's more useful.

Got an email from family firearms and they apparently ordered my tisas. I'm sure I'll get it but it doesn't look like their in stock means in stock.
If you guys vouched for them I'm not worried @HEATH223 Didn't see your post before I ordered. Did everything work out with FF? |

Picked up one of these today at a local shop. Any holster suggestions beyond the normal Safariland offerings?

What does the color look like? Mine apparently had to be ordered but I'm thinking I should of waited to buy local after seeing the difference in Cerakote shades. |

How are the Tisas working with hollow points?
I saw a YT review on the Raider and it looked like it worked great with ball ammo but choked when they switched to HP. It was having some FTF issues. |
|
|
I uh...so...fuck...how much are these going for?
I only own 2 factory, 3 if you count a GSG 22LR version, 1911s...and none have a rail. I built all of my others myself. So my interest has been peaked by these Tisas guns. |

Well... I just ordered one... it was a bit more than I wanted to pay... it was $649+tax/free shipping. But I called to verify it was in stock and it was so I ordered it.
I've been saving up for a staccato C2... but when it came time for me to order it I couldn't actually force myself to press the "place order" button and spending over 2k on a gun that I know would sit most of the time vs being carried over my Glocks or Daggers. |

Are you guys receiving these with the chrome, apparently Checkmate Industries mags? One of the local shops has one in stock for $699. I am sure they will knock at least $50 off that price for me, but when I was looking at it, it had a black Meg-Car magazine in it. Based on a recent experience, I am beginning to think they are swapping parts on guns, or selling used firearms as new, so I just wanted to double check before I made any kind of commitment to purchase from them again.

I guess the price is creeping up on these already.
I went back to the shop that normally cuts me a deal on stuff. I asked if they would do $630 as that seems to be about the norm for the places that had them in stock. He said he could only do $679 because the distributor he bought his from, charged him an extra $60. I guess he paid a bit more to get some of the first ones in the area. I told him I would think about it and tried looking at a couple other shops. None of them had Tisas, much less the Raider model but I did leave one shop with an M1A tanker that was marked down to $1575. I came home looked online, and wound up ordering one from Impact Guns for $630.59 plus $13.99 shipping. When I received the confirmation e-mail, I clicked on the link to my gun and it hit a 404 page not found link. I looked it up manually, and it is still in stock but with a new price of $662.09 I sure wish I had picked up a couple more Ruger 1911s when they first came out. Both the full size and commander models were about $625. I have been looking around recently and most models are about $1000. |

Yeah, it could be that prices on Raiders are going up. I found one from KYGunCo for $613 so I ordered one up. The next day I logged on to see if it had shipped yet and I see they were out of stock now so glad I ordered one when I did. I also decided to order a Tisas Tank Commander (I always had a love affair with the Commander models) before they sell out too. My Raider is supposed to be in at my dealer on Tuesday so I’m looking forward trying it out.

Dealers are raising the prices due to demand. |

I asked the Tisas rep in their forum. He said early june on the 9mm Raider.
