If the rail appears out of spec and wont take a light, yes.

Not a huge difference of $38 from the Dr (shipping considered)...But I save when I can! ![]() ![]() Someone said it doesn't offer anything over the cheaper B45R. I agree and absolutely true. But, to me and given the "clone" effect of the aesthetics, the Raider is worth the $100 premium. |

Family Firearms is good to go. I got my (two) Duty pistols in 9mm and 45acp from them late last years. And a MP5K clone several months before that. All with out any issue.

Everybody whines they want mil spec then complain when they get it!

These need a threaded barrel from the factory! Add more money to the cost, that's fine with me, +/- $200.
Para/Clarke type ramp/barrel. it's been discussed in these threads. |

The two USMC school house Colts don't have any wear there and those have an ungodly amount of rounds on them I'm sure. That's why I thought the wear was definitely unusual.
|
|
|
Took it apart, no burrs.
Polished it up. We will see, I'm not worried about it. Shoots and works flawlessly. Adds character. |

Have a Tisas in 9mm, so far it shoots well.

You have to remove the universal and replace it with the 1913 for it to work on this rail. Or any picatinny rail. Same with the TLR-1 or similar light. |

I tried some filing, etc but no luck on my X300 ultra. I ordered the $20 parts kit since I lost mine and will swap to the 1913 adapter.
It fits as-is on my TRP and my Kimber though. Hoping the new adapter allows it to work on all of them. ETA: I will figure out how to make the light or a light fit as I just got it cerakoted OD green, so not sending it back :) I will report back with my findings. |

Just ordered me one from Family Firearms $602.91 + a $10 transfer when I get it. I've been wanting a railed 1911, almost got a railed Duty a few weeks back. Kinda glad I waited now, I think I'll like this one better.

When you drop the safety it does not have enough movement to make that big a scratch does it? |

The hammer pin is supposed to sit proud to keep the safety lever off the side of the frame so it does not rub the frame and take the finish off. It is supposed to rub against the hammer pin... not the frame.

Just picked mine up from my LGS, wow!!
Field stripped and it came apart and went back together smooth as silk. Forged parts, Series 70 construction, heat treated steel. Amassing fit and finish, if it shoots as good as it looks, this is a big winner for Tisas! |

I just found this thread. Anyone know if the guys of these are MIM or machined parts? These look pretty great especially for the price.

I'm looking to pick up some holsters for this guy, AIWB and a strong side belt holster.
What are you guys running specific to the railed 1911 no light that you can personally recommend? TIA Added No Light |

I personally use a safariland 6004ss-530 with x300u for it when shooting. The holster was made for the Colt M45a1 and selected for use by the USMC for their M45a1 program. I posted pictures of it earlier in this thread. I can take more though it you have any questions. It's made with and without the light. They are pricey, but awesome. I dont carry it appendix, so I don't have any recommendations for that. |

Updated to no light.
Yeah, I was looking at the Mil Issued Safariland. I have one for my M17 on the belt hanger (non drop) like I used to carry my glock in the 6280. They're a little pricey but I'm going to hit up a local surplus place for one. Thanks man. |

Tenicor for aiwb or Jmcustom

I'm really hoping they make a 9mm version. Since its a clone, it might as well be in a caliber I can afford to shoot more of.

Family Tisas Raider $549 thanks for the link, just ordered one for the $549 price tag. I think word has got out on FF. All my previous orders shipped quick from them. Even not in store items shipped within a week topps. I ordered a Raider from them 8 days ago(showed not in inventory & $577). The next day they showed in inventory at $550(my luck) and mine still has not shipped. |

Does that mean it has match fitted barrel/bushing that need tool to remove. Unlikely, but just interesting observation as why it need a bushing wrench? |

My duty SS came with a bushing wrench, but it comes apart without it. |

Some of the Duty rails were out of spec. Tisas will replace the frame under warranty if you have this issue.

No problem fitting a 300U-A to my Raider. So guess mine came good.
