I have a first gen PT140 and the safety seems to be overly easy to flick off.

Is there anyway to tighten the saftey?

Should I send it in to Taurus for a looksie?

The frame has no cracks even after putting about 1k rounds through it in the past couple of years so I have my doubts Taurus would make the safety tighter for "safety" or "warranty" reasons.

I also carry the PT140 and it also seems to come out of safe a little to easy. But I really don't worry about it at all because of the trigger pull on the Taurus is so long. It is not going to go off by "accident" even with the safety off. Hell, I would feel pretty confident about it not discharging by smashing it on ground repeatedly !
