I'm wanting to change up my carry rotation and the full size is hard to conceal at times, and comfort does dictate that I don't and won't carry at times, and hard to argue with 7 rounds of 230 grain persuasion on hand. However, that's giving up 17 rounds of 9, which I am confident in.

I have owned a G36 before and shoot it well, just like the M&P, so those factors are the same.

It's not an option at this time to go and buy a G36 at this time. What do you think?

G19, baby.  You'd still have 15 + 1 and it's easier to hide.

Why not get the 30s.  Same size and 10 rounds.

This....

I do not honestly see why you would trade the M&P for a G36 when the G30s exist or something like the G19 which is about the same size as the 36 and 30s.

Sorry but the 30S is a fat brick compared to the G36

I went and played with a G30s today and it's a bit wider obviously, but didn't feel much wider overall. I liked it but didn't shoot it. Does one carry well?

I had a G36 years ago and it was the only Glock that I was happy to get rid of. It jammed a lot-double feeds,fte,etc.. I eventually traded it for something else. I am not sure why it was like that but I have heard of others who had similar problems, my Captain was one of them. I have not tried one since, because it gave me a bad vibe. For me and my experience, I would keep the M&P.

I have a G30SF but the G30S is near identical in size to the G19.

I carry a G36 with an extra mag in a smart carry holster when wearing light weight gym type shorts with no belt. It's very thin and I'm proficient with it. When wearing pants and a belt my G36 rides in an OWB Alessi CQC/S with a double mag pouch on the other side. This pistol conceals exceptionally well, as a single stack rosco.

I will admit, this is my only Glock that had jammed a few times using Winchester white box 230 gr ball. I've had several hundred rounds of my reloads through this piece w/o a hiccup along with approx 100 rounds of Federal Hydra Shok 230 gr HP's. The gun never jammed with any defense ammo.

My G30 feels like I'm holding a 2x4.
