I've been looking st the Roland Special from KKM. I ran across the TBRCi comp.  I already have a 1/2x28 barrel so this would save some coin. Anyone used one?

Very interested in these or the new S3F Solutions micro comp.

I'm still trying to figure out how the set screws keep it tight with no flats on the barrel?

My Fowler Industries G19 is gonna get one of these or the S3F comp eventually. Still need to see more of each.

It uses a special barrel to achieve how small it is. It seems to be roughly the side of the NOC comp, bringing it to G17 lengths.

What is this picture from? I can't find anything about this on S3F's instagram or Facebook or Google or anywhere else.

Is there any info out there on these?

ETA: figured it out. Looks like a project between mayhem syndicate and s3f. Can't wait, looks awesome.

So far, so good. Haven't got to shoot it much. Doesn't feel much different from the Carver Custom 2-port it replaced.

Carrying in a CNC G34 holster.

Got the chance to hit the range today again with it. No movement of the comp with blue loctite on the set screws after 500 rounds.

I am also curious about this, been thinking hard about picking one up since they came out. Anyone tried running 115 grain through them? Do you have to use a lighter spring?

I have the TBRC comp on my gen 4 g19 mos and I've been having feeding and ejection issues with 115s, 124s, and 147s. Starting to think it's the gun lol.

I have a 13lb recoil spring coming though, should be here friday. Will hit the range and update at that time.

I should also add that I have a leupold delta point pro on my g19 as well so there's added weight to the slide. Maybe the combo of stock RSA with comp and red dot is causing problems???

received my comp today.

It fit perfectly in my supertuck.

The comp it's self has some tooling marks on it but other than that it seems like its quality.

I am gonna have the machinist mill a few up on some extra aluminum we have laying around.

UPDATE: Got my 13lb spring and stainless steel guide rod. Ran 60 rounds of 115 grain PMC 9mm through my G19 gen4 with TBRC micro comp and had zero malfunctions. I know 60 rounds isn't much, but that's already a vast improvement over previous performance. Now to put in some more time at the range....

ran a few mags through it yesterday... 115 grain NATO.

There is a noticeable difference in recoil pattern. I'd say it was more than I was expecting it to be which is good, it means it works.

I also carried it all day in my crossbreed. The comp sticks past the leather and it kind of got uncomfortable in the car so I took it out and slid it between center console and the seat.

The only downside I noticed while shooting it, is shooting at night, there is a noticeable "fireball" that can disorientate you a bit, it is more profound during rapid fire. All things considered though, I think this is a great purchase for a G19/17.

Are you guys running an o-ring between the barrel and the comp? I blue loctited the set screws and mine still came loose after about 150rds the other day. Some say they are running an o-ring on the barrel and don't seem to be having the same issues I am.

Did you torque your set screws to 11-12 inch pounds? I'm just using blue loctite on my set screws and have had zero issues with just over 2k rounds now. If you are having some rotation issues with your set screws torqued to spec, blue loctite on your barrel threads should fix ya right up.

I considered creating flats, but if you don't get it perfect, you're comp will be crooked. I also haven't had any issues with rotation so I guess I'll leave it alone for now.

I was thinking the same thing, afraid to dimple the barrel or do flats and my comp end up crooked.

I will try the o-ring first, and if that doesn't work I will try Loctite on the barrel threads plus the o-ring.  If NONE of that works, I guess ill be the guinea pig and dimple the barrel.

What size o-ring, anybody know offhand?

Mine is stock on a pistol with over 15K rounds on it lol. Not one single malfunction with the micro comp from any of the ammo ive tested it with yet. Most people are running the stock spring with no issue.

I'd like to know what size o-ring as well. Every time I've taken my TBRC comped pistol to the range it gets loose enough to remove with zero effort.

Just by googling it appears that a #6 is what we need, make sure its the high temp grade o-ring. It has a name, but I cant remember it now offhand. Im going to the hardware store this afternoon for a stroll and see what I find.

Interesting feedback on this topic.  I just ordered a TBRC mini comp this week.  Hopefully, it will arrive in a few days and I then I can decide which pistol to install it on.

I cannot get the screws to tighten enough to keep it from spinning on my new silencer co barrel. I dropped a single drop of rocksett to make it set.

And now it's hanging up on the retention mechanism on my safariland holster. It locks into the ejection port and breaks with the thumb, but now catches on the comp

I tried that this weekend and mine still spun loose.

I'm gonna ditch it and go with a KKM barrel and comp like I should have done in the first place.

Yeah. It looks like an external choke type mounting system. Makes me wonder if it will hold up to slide wear. I definitely prefer it to the larger options.

Im still having issues with mine coming loose as well, ill be going with KKM too I think. I used blue Loctite set for over 24hrs, and got the screws tight enough that I almost stripped one of them, and it still twists about 1/8 of a turn after several shots. I can twist it right back by hand(it is still very tight on the barrel at this point), but then it moves again on its own in a few more shots.

As for the KKM, since it is a proprietary system does their barrel have dimples or flats to lock the comp in time? I see it still uses set screws, but is it more secure? I don't see people having the same problems with them.

I can confirm - the KKM has flats where the set screws engage, at the 3 and 9 position.

Roger that, thanks for the info Airborne. Im going to go ahead and eat the cost and pick up the KKM combo, just don't want the hassle of fooling with this microcomp anymore.
