The PT1911 is the best value on the market.  Love this gun.

No Pic of the hand?  This is A Picture Thread.

Hard to see the scars in the pics, best I can do, but no one misses them in person.  That's from one of the infallible Glocks.

Your Turn.

Now as this is a Taurus Picture Thread here is a Taurus pic.  Tried to do the same grainy effect I got on the PT1911 above but it did not come out as good.  So I changed it.  It is a Mill Pro, it was before they put the Pro on both sides of the slide.

Happened 13 years ago.

Mine was with a box stock gun and mild factory ammo.

Yours?

Still no details nor pics?  Just trying to get you in the spirit of the thread.

13 years or so too.  Odd I dont rember the year, but I do rember the day in July.  Glock 23.  .40 of course.  Intertube on grip otherwise stock.  Factory ammo I won't mention as they are not to blame.  The same rounds many in my S&W in 40.

So not a Taurus 1911.  I used to not like Taurus either.  Nor the Ruger P, but now some of my favorites are a Ruger P95 and Taurus.  Change is wild.  I think Taurus has come a long way.  Hell 30 days ago I was saying, 'well some of the new autos are ok.  But not their revolvers.'  Thinking of buying a .22 revolver off a guy at work.  Makes me scared to ask, what do I not like now,  that I will buy next year.  No Chi-coms please!  Yesh I'm a nut, but not a gun shob!

To foster the pic thread.  (Not a dupe just similar.)

ETA... Oops PT 24/7 in 9mm

I like it alot, at first I thought I had alot of malfunctions, but just last weekend I figured out that I was only having problems with the slide locking up on one of my mags, not both, so I marked it and wont use it except at the range, too bad new mags cost somewhere around 50 bones.  I also have a Taurus .17 Tracker, very accurate and no malfunctions.

The first few mags through my new favorite 1911. (I like it more than my Colt Commander or my Springfield GI)

Some nice scenery

Getting some love after a recent long hike.

Hey there, I know a Boondock Saints fan when I see it! Those grips are cool. Taurus has made some solid pistols. I knew when they started making .45 1911's they would be equally solid!

Was considering altering my mount to work with the 92/99 series, but think there is more of a call for 1911's because of ipsc and shooting clubs ,etc.

Have a good one!

My apologies for taking so long to get back to you.

I purchased them from a Guy on Ebay that custom makes them. Go to ebay and search for "Boondock Saints 1911 grips" and the guy will show up.  Rare-n-unique is his handle. Email him and he'll make a set like mine for you.

As far as for the PT92, I have no idea. I have the stock Wood grips on my PT92AF.

I love my grips. Very good quality and the guy makes them all by hand. I had to mod them a little (file the grip) so they would work with the Ambi Safety. I have had several comments while shooting Single Stack in USPSA. I hope it brings the guy more business.

I really wish my agency would allow me to carry a 1911.

Mine sits in the safe most of the time while is plastic brothers get taken everywhere.

fine looking!! Have you had any magazine related malfunctions? How long has yours been "born"?

I bought it new in August of this year. First time to the range, it had some problems. Magazine 1 racked itself when it went in. Then the mags began dropping out of the gun.

I just got it back from Taurus Friday.Tomorrow it is going to the range for some testing. Hopefully it'll be alright. I really like the gun! Accurate, low cost and VERY comfortable!

Stay tuned, I'll chime back after tomorrow.
