I found an unusual (to me) Taurus 92 9mm . It was a polished SS slide ans aluminum frame .

What looked differant to me was that there was an allen head screw on the back of the grip , and a "near" skeletonized hammer . The hammer had deep recesses in it's side .

Does this finish / hammer sound factory ?

The allen head screw on the back of the handgrip is the internal lock for child safety.  There was a post in another forum about a PT92 that was custom made in limited quantities - you could call Taurus and ask them.  I will try to find the post about the custom made 92's and post the link.

Here it is, but I don't think it is what you are describing.  Can you post pictures?  In any event, I would call Taurus.

I looked at my PT-92 yesterday.  It has the same hammer you describe - deeply recessed on the sides and a hole in it.  I think the pistol you describe is standard factory.

Here is their picture.
